Principal's message

I am honoured and excited to serve as the Relieving Principal of Blackwell Public School. This opportunity is both a privilege and a responsibility that I take very seriously. I am committed to making a meaningful and lasting contribution to the school community during my time in this role.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge and respect the outstanding work of Mrs. Hudswell and the current leadership team. Their dedication and vision have established strong foundations that I will work diligently to uphold. I will ensure that the practices, routines, and values that staff, students, and families know and trust continue seamlessly.

I fully recognise the importance of stability during times of transition. To that end, I will prioritise calm, visible, and consistent leadership, providing reassurance to the community and ensuring smooth operations. My leadership style is grounded in collaboration, and I understand that respectful communication and teamwork are key to guiding a school through change.

At the same time, I am deeply passionate about fostering a culture of continuous improvement. I believe that while celebrating the successes we’ve already achieved, we must remain open to reflection and growth. I am committed to encouraging a mindset where both staff and students are empowered to reach new heights, building on the strong foundation established by those before us.

During my time as principal, my focus will be on being a calm and supportive presence. I am dedicated to ensuring a positive, focused learning environment where both staff and students can flourish. It is my goal to leave behind not just continuity and stability, but also momentum and growth that will benefit the school long after my time here.

Together, we will continue to build on the strength of our community and work toward a future where every student is given the opportunity to succeed.
